A CHINESE EXPORT BLACK AND GOLD LACQUERED BRISE FAN QING DYNASTY, JIAQING PERIOD, CIRCA 1800

Finely painted in gilt with a central shield shaped cartouche containing a monogram within a further shield shaped scroll work flourish reserved against a fine trellis and fruiting vine ground, flanked by two circular roundels, the gorge with a further oval roundel, the tips of each stick decorated with a stylised peacock feather design, twenty-six inner sticks and two guard sticks.
